All of us at some point in time may have questioned whether we really are, "The Land of the Free." When we read about, the National Debt, how much of our debt is owned by China, how our Armed Forces have been reduced to levels before World War II, how Congress can not agree to non-partisan bills, and finally- our President is utilizing Executive Orders that may be an override of our Constitution. You, like me, may question whether we really are The Land of the Free. Krakondack's book seems to have been conceived because of similar happenings right now in our country. I suggest you read it as a Historical Fiction, with an open mind, and pray that it isn't really happening to us right now. I was on the edge of my seat through this different collection of historical fiction items. Enjoy? I think!

As I started to get into the book I found myself drawn in deeper and deeper. While the action moves along, it does jump back and forth; precisely the type of book I enjoy reading. Some of the characters seemed a bit outrageous and the plot is out there, but could be likely. What I didn't like is that it seemed towards the end a small attempt was made to make sense of it all and then you were left hanging. That, I don't like. I assume it's the autor's way to entice you to read the sequel. I probably will not.
A fantastic page Turner. Well written by a genuine Craftsman of words.
I kept waiting for our volatile border patrol agent to have more of a role as previewed it did not happen. I thought the final two chapters were weak begging for a resolution. As reader's we would guess who the main traitors were but they were left on in power at the end when they should have been shot. The finale to me was weak and incomplete.
Poor writing and little character development. Then the book just ended mid story without resolution. Waste of time to read.
Exceptional well written. A page turner, well in the realms of possibility. Looking forward to reading more of his books.
The reader of any book of fiction must be able to accept the assumptions on which the story is based. This is not possible with this one. The poor writing worsens this flaw.

Also be aware that this is one of the growing number of books that seeks to trap you into wanting to read ( and pay for), successor books by not bringing the plot to s reasonable conclusion at the end of the book. It pretty much stops in mid sentence.

(K) has written a novel of traitors and back stabbers who have control of the President. An artificial war has been started by corrupt leaders of China and the US. The invasion begins in northern Mexico. The invading army moves into Texas with the intent of splitting the country. This is an excellent read for the genre..... ER
